According to WTIC, the woman was in surgery last year to remove part of a rib because of a pre-cancerous lesion, and the lawsuit claims the doctors removed the wrong rib despite markings. The patient’s attorney says a surgeon-in-training later lied to cover up the mistake, causing her to have a second surgery the same day. According to Q13 Fox, the surgery trainee was M.D.
