

“The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has removed flossing as a recommended practice after questions arose about its helpfulness, the Associated Press reported Tuesday.The AP reviewed the most rigorous research conducted over the past decade, concentrating on 25 studies that generally compared the use of a toothbrush with the combination of toothbrushes and floss.The overall evidence is “weak, very unreliable,” of “very low” quality and carries “a moderate to large potential for bias,” according to the reviews.”
