The American Health Council Appoints Ms. Summer Aldridge to the Nursing Board

The American Health Council has warmly welcomed Ms. Summer Aldridge to its prestigious Nursing Board. Bringing over seventeen years of experience, Ms. Aldridge, from Hernando, Mississippi, is recognized for her outstanding contributions as a Staff Registered Nurse.

After experiencing the loss of her grandmother to ovarian cancer, Ms. Aldridge later realized how much she wanted to be able to help others in the same way that her family had been helped through such a difficult time. This led to her completing her AAS in Nursing from Holmes Community College in 2000.

For the past year, Ms. Aldridge has worked as a Staff Registered Nurse at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis. Displaying expertise in Critical Care, Med/Surg Telemetry, Chronic Hemodialysis and most recently, LTAC, Ms. Summer’s daily responsibilities include direct bedside patient care, advocacy and patient safety of the critically ill. This is conducted through interdisciplinary collaboration of the physicians, RT, ST, PT, OT, Wound Care, CM, and Pharmacy.

Looking back at her many achievements, Ms. Aldridge attributes her success to persevering through the hurdles life has dealt, doing what had to be done to the best of her ability and always being proud of her accomplishments.

Ms. Aldridge’s goals within the next five years include staying updated in evidence-based practices in the ICU, Hematology and Acute Care, whilst continuing to take care of patients.

When not busy working, Ms. Aldridge enjoys participating in a choir, where she upholds the position of Choir Manager. She is also extremely charitable and volunteers for Coro Rio.
