The American Health Council Appoints Ms. Delphine Lewis-Linton, BSN, ADN, CEN, TNCC, ENCP to the Nursing Board

The American Health Council has warmly welcomed Ms. Delphine Lewis-Linton, BSN, ADN, CEN, TNCC, ENCP to its prestigious Nursing Board. Having recently joined the profession, Ms. Lewis-Linton, of Port St. Lucie, FL, is already gaining recognition for her expertise in Emergency Room Care.

Ms. Lewis-Linton became involved in her current profession through a natural progression which led her into the field of Nursing. Her impressive academic achievements include a BSN, ADN, CEN, TNCC and an ENCP. She also holds a Nursing Management Certificate and an ECCO – Essentials of critical care orientation certification.

The past 6 months have been spent working as a Staff Nurse at Martin Health System, where her day to day responsibilities include treating patients in the emergency room, general care, trauma, EKG’s, and teaching nurses.

Martin Health System based in Stuart, Fla. comprises three hospitals, one MediCenter, a free-standing emergency center, and numerous outpatient centers and clinics. The system is a not-for-profit, community-based health care organization that offers preventative, primary and acute hospital care, as well as cancer care, a heart center, wellness and rehabilitation services, and much more. Their services provide care for residents throughout the Treasure Coast, including Stuart, Jensen Beach, Hobe Sound, Palm City and Port St. Lucie.

Nearly 400 doctors and more than 4,000 employees are dedicated to Martin Health. Their generous volunteers give more than 187,000 hours annually–the equivalent of 97 full-time employees! Martin Health is accredited by The Joint Commission, one of the most respected accreditations in the nation. It is a Joint Commission certified primary stroke center and has Commission on Cancer accreditation. Martin Medical Center is a eight-time national winner of the national Truven 100 Top Hospitals recognition, which evaluates 3,000 short-term acute care, non-federal hospitals in the United
States and a two-time awardee of the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals in the nation. The Orthopaedic Specialty Center at Martin Health System has earned the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission for disease-specific care certification for joint replacement of the knee and hip.

Reflecting on her career to date, Ms. Lewis-Linton attributes her success to her hard work and dedication. She was extremely honored to have been presented with the Performance Award in 2014.

As a member of several professional associations including Alpha Chi, Ms. Lewis-Linton’s goal for the next 5 years is the continuation of growth as her career progresses.

Outside of work, Ms. Lewis-Linton enjoys reading and traveling in her free time. She also lends her support to charitable organizations including Children International.
