The American Health Council Appoints Ms. Amber-Dawn Eby to the Nursing Board

The American Health Council has warmly welcomed Mrs. Amber-Dawn Eby to its prestigious Nursing Board. Having gained over ten years experience in the profession, Mrs. Eby, from Oregon, is a highly respected Nurse Quality Supervisor with particular expertise in nursing, urogynecology and patient care.

Mrs. Eby became involved in her profession due to a long-held passion for healthcare in general. Her grandmother and father were LPN’s and she fondly remembers their discussions at the dinner table. Having always possessed a caring compassion, Mrs. Eby also remembers nursing an injured bird back to health when she was younger.

Having attained her ADN in 2008 from Boise State University, Mrs. Eby has upheld the position of Nurse Quality Supervisor at Providence Medford Medical Group for the past 4 years. Prior to this role, Mrs. Eby was a nurse at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, working in the float pool for 5 years doing various forms of nursing.

Demonstrating expertise in nursing, problem solving, urogynecology, patient care, and staying calm in stressful situations, Mrs. Eby’s day to day responsibilities include supervising 12 Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Medical Assistants, supervising procedures, seeing patients, triaging care plans for her patients, and educating her work team on new procedures and safety precautions.

Reflecting on her career to date, Mrs. Eby attributes her success to being on a good team, collaborating with peers, and having the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life. Among her many accolades, she was extremely humbled to be nominated for a Clinical Nursing Award by Providence Hospital and counts her family as one of her proudest achievements.

Looking to the future, Mrs Eby plans to complete her BSN and then her Nurse Practitioner license. Outside of work, Mrs. Eby enjoys creating pottery, drawing in her free time, and working in her garden. She also actively participates in various service projects, volunteer youth programmes and with the Boy Scouts.
