The American Health Council has cordially appointed Mr. Adam Hait, RPh, to its prestigious Industry Board, in recognition of his accomplishments. The esteemed professional has dedicated an impressive 25 years to the healthcare industry, and is most noted for his work within the niche of reproductive health.
Mr. Hait’s father and grandfather owned and operated a pharmacy in Irvington, NJ. . Growing up in their pharmacy made his decision to pursue pharmacy as a career very easy. Mr. Hait proceeded to complete his BS in Pharmacy, graduating from the University of Connecticut, School of Pharmacy in 1993.
Mr Hait has served in his current capacity as President of Schraft’s 2.0 since 2016. Displaying extensive expertise in reproductive health and fertility medicine. The company places its values and focus on the patient journey, which is the genesis for numerous clinical programs such as ‘open the box’ (OTB®) and a placemat which is a visual guide of what is inside the patient’s ‘box’. OTB is a clinical call provided after the patient has received their medications, ensuring details such as proper storage, proper injection or mixing techniques are explained, and allowing the patient to ask any questions.
Schraft’s 2.0 is the rebirth of Schraft’s, a speciality pharmacy. Schraft’s was founded by Adam and Bill Hait and was the nation’s leader in the retail distribution of fertility medications. Schraft’s was acquired by Walgreens Health Services in November 2005, Mr Hait returned to the fertility pharmacy field as he felt it had become commoditized. Schraft’s 2.0 opened for business in December 2016, to once again redefine a fertility pharmacy. Currently, Schraft’s 2.0 is one of the nation’s leading fertility pharmacies and continues to develop programs to enhance the patient experience during a fertility cycle.
Recognized for creating a truly patient centric approach, Mr. Hait is honored to have been nominated for a MM&M award, of which he was announced as a finalist. He is also extremely proud that the pharmacy holds four accreditations including URAC (Utilization Review Accreditation Commission), ACHC (Accreditation Commision for Health Care) , PCAB (Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board) and CPPA (Center for Pharmacy Practice Accreditation).
In order to broaden his knowledge, Mr. Hait maintains professional membership in the American Pharmacists Association, APhA, the National Community Pharmacists Association, NCPA and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, ASRM. Looking to the future, Mr. Hait plans to grow the pharmacy and develop relationships with clinics from the past. He wants to grow in his role, and seek out opportunities to speak and lecture about the role of a pharmacist.
Outside of work, Mr. Hait is an avid kiteboarder which has led him to develop an innovation for the Wake/Kiteboarding world. During his retirement, Mr. Hait also had the opportunity to attend the French Culinary institute, graduating with a degree in the Classic Culinary Arts in 2012. Mr. Hait is known to commit his time when he can to charitable organizations including Gigi’s Playhouse, Inc – Down Syndrome Achievement Centers and as an Anasazi Foundation Board Member.
