The American Health Council Appoints Dr. Despina Trigenis to the Physician Board

The American Health Council has warmly welcomed Dr. Despina Trigenis to its prestigious Physician Board. Drawing on over 15 years experience, Dr. Trigenis, from Darien, Connecticut, is highly regarded for her expertise in Emergency Care.

Dr. Trigenis first became involved in her profession due the influences of her family; her father is a nephrologist and he greatly inspired her. She felt that pursuing the route of emergency medicine provided a good work-life balance and the results are quick.

Having studied for her DO in Emergency Medicine at NY College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Trigenis embarked on a successful career and currently upholds the position of ER Attending at USACS, a role she has held for the past 2 years. Demonstrating key expertise in Emergency Care and as a “Clean up Physician”, Dr. Trigenis has a variety of day to day responsibilities including caring for the pediatric population, traveling to rural locations to serve the underserved and signing off on immunization protocols.

In 2015, the US Acute Care Solutions (USACS) was formed, committed to protecting and continually improving the quality of patient care. Attributing her success to her independent characteristics, the ability to adapt to different situations and always wanting to challenge herself, Dr. Trigenis is also proud of being resourceful to other physicians when needed.

Keen to remain at the forefront of her profession, Dr. Trigenis remains affiliated with the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians. Looking to the future, she would like to move into teaching and training with PA’s at the bedside.

Outside of work, Dr. Trigenis enjoys Latin dancing and spending time with her family. She is also a passionate animal rights activist.
