

Researchers in Malaysia have tested a combination of screening tools to assess their validity for the early diagnosis of schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a long-term mental disorder with a genetic component that involves abnormal interpretation of reality, which can manifest as hallucinations, delusions, and disordered thinking and behaviour. Studies reveal that subtle indications of the disease can be identified long before full-blown psychosis develops.
