The nation’s first uterus transplant has failed and the organ has been removed, the Cleveland Clinic announced on Wednesday. A 26-year-old woman, identified only as Lindsey, received the transplant on February 24 and seemed to be doing well, even appearing briefly at a news conference on Monday with her surgeons. Secondly, a womb, complete with two major arteries and four veins, removed from a from donor in a three-hour operation.
