The American Health Council Appoints Ms. Beatrice Preciado to the Occupational Therapy Board

The American Health Council has warmly welcomed Ms. Beatrice Preciado to its prestigious Occupational Therapy Board. Drawing on over 22 years experience in the occupational therapy industry, Ms. Preciado, from Phoenix, Arizona, is widely respected for her expertise in Pediatrics.

Ms. Preciado became involved in the occupational therapy industry after being exposed to it during student teaching, teaching children with writing struggles who were having a hard time catching up in school.

Ms. Preciado’s major areas of study included Occupational Therapy, Spanish Literature and Special Literature. She attained her MA in 1996, and her BS and BA in 1993. For the past 2 years, Ms. Preciado has worked as a Senior Occupational Therapist for Peoria Unified Schools.

On a day to day basis, Ms. Preciado works with occupational therapy assistants and students with learning disabilities. She handles cases between two schools and hospitals, and works for her own practice in cranial psychotherapy.

Peoria Unified School District serves more than 36,000 students in 34 elementary schools and 7 high schools and one non-traditional high school. Peoria Unified caters to the unique learning style of every student. They are proud to boast a 93% high school graduation rate and pride themselves on their award-winning teachers, specialized choice programs and championship sports programs.

Ms. Preciado’s success stems from her own education. Within the next five years, Ms. Preciado plans to focus more on her cranial psychotherapy practice and get more politically involved for patient education.

When not busy working, Ms. Preciado enjoys mountain biking and spending time with her 7-year-old son. She also supports the local boys and girls club and provides Pro Bono occupational therapy work for those who cannot afford to get extra therapy services.
