The American Health Council has warmly welcomed Mr. Kyle Wright to its prestigious Occupational Therapy Board. Drawing on over 10 years of service to the healthcare industry, Mr. Wright, from St. Mary, Ohio, is highly respected for his expertise in Skilled Nursing and Geriatrics.
Mr. Wright’s interest in the profession stemmed from when he injured his foot and worked with a physical therapist. His best friend introduced a professor of occupational therapy to him, “Dr. Tom Dillon”, who was also extremely influential.
Focusing his studies on Occupational Therapy, Mr. Wright attained his MS-OT from the University of Findlay in 2008. For the past 9 years, he has worked as Director of Rehab at Therapy Solutions. On a day to day basis, Mr. Wright delivers quality care to all disciplines and performs an array of tasks relating to the business side of the department, such as budgets, staffing and scheduling.
At Therapy Solutions, on-staff therapists are available to help regain functional mobility during the healing process. The physical and occupational therapists assist with improving endurance as well as joint movement and range of motion. Often this can include pain and edema management and assistance with adaptive devices for greater independence. Key services provided include; Pre-Operative Strengthening, Conditioning, and Education, Orthopedic Conditions and Post Total-Joint Replacement Surgery, Balance Disorders and Neurological Conditions, Stroke and Parkinson’s Rehabilitation, Pain Management, Cardiac Recovery, Speech and Communication Interventions.
Reflecting on his career, Mr. Wright’s success stems from fellow co-workers and from working as a team. Among his many professional accomplishments, he is proud to have been a Founder of the Wellness Advocacy Program and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Findlay.
Over the next five years, Mr. Wright plans to expand his skillset and focus on directorship. Outside of work, Mr. Wright enjoys golfing and spending time with his 19 month old son.
