The American Health Council Appoints Jenny Koselak, ADN, BSAS, MPH to Nursing Board

The American Health Council is proud to appoint Jenny Koselak, ADN, BSAS to its Nursing Board. Currently an International Disaster Response Team Nurse with Samaritan’s Purse in Bradenton, Florida. With over 30 years in the healthcare industry, Ms. Koselak shares her knowledge and expertise in Critical Care Nursing and patient care.

Ms. Jenny Koselak earned her Associates in Nursing (ADN) from Santa Fe College in 1991. With passion and perseverance, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree (BSAS) with Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida in 2016. Ms. Koselak is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) with a focus on Disaster Management and Humanitarian Relief.

Ms. Koselak’s day to day responsibilities include traveling around the world to where she is needed most and provides crisis and disaster relief. She administers the highest quality of care to her patients during very stressful, emotional, and terrifying times of their lives. Ms. Koselak is very proud of her education and work in the Intensive Care Unit. She is also part of the Emergency Response Team and Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

Ms. Koselak credits her career to the support she has gotten from her friends, family, and co-workers. It is their acceptance of her admirable work that feeds her passion to help others even more. Their support has truly helped her excel in her career and it gives her the push she needs to improve on her abilities.

Ms. Koselak’s dedication to the field of nursing has led to her inclusion in the following organizations: Florida Nurse Association, Florida Emergency Preparedness Association, Florida Public Health Association, and the Manatee County Medical Reserve Corp. She also gives back to various charitable organizations, consisting of USF DAHR Student Collaborative, Team Rubicon, Medical Reserve Corp, USF CERT Team, and the Guardian Ad Litem.

In her future, Ms. Koselak would like to try and combine her skills in public health with her wide set of skills in nursing. She also looks forward to positively impacting the lives of her patients.

When Ms. Koselak has time off from saving the world, she enjoys running and training for her upcoming triathlon.
