  • Raw Oysters - Multiple Pathogens May 13, 2019
    CDC and public health and regulatory officials in several states are investigating a multistate outbreak of gastrointestinal illnesses linked to raw oysters harvested from Estero El Cardon estuary in Baja California Sur, Mexico.
  • Ground Beef – E. coli infections April 15, 2019
    A total of 109 people infected with the outbreak strain of E. coli O103 have been reported from six states. ◦Seventeen people have been hospitalized. No cases of hemolytic uremic syndrome, a type of kidney failure, have been reported. No deaths have been reported
  • Pre-cut Melons – Salmonella infections April 15, 2019
    •On April 12, 2019, Caito Foods LLC recalled pre-cut watermelon, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, and pre-cut fruit medley products containing one of these melons supplied at the Caito Foods LLC facility in Indianapolis, Indiana.
  • Raw Milk - Drug-resistant Brucella (RB51) February 8, 2019
    The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state health officials are investigating potential exposures to Brucella strain RB51 (RB51) in 19 states, connected to consuming raw (unpasteurized) milk from Miller's Biodiversity Farm in Quarryville, Pennsylvania.
