Cynthia White, Assistant General Counsel at GlaxoSmithKline in Philadelphia, has been selected to join the Industry Board at the American Health Council. She will be sharing her knowledge and expertise in Leadership, Business Strategy, Organizational Structures, Contract Negotiations, Managed Care, Health Care Industry, Pharmaceutical Industry, Medicaid, and Medicare Regulations.
Ms. White has been active in the healthcare industry for the last 25 years. She earned her Juris Doctor of Law degree from Temple University in 1991.
Ms. White’s day-to-day responsibilities at GlaxoSmithKline, a science-led global healthcare company, include advising management on a wide range of issues concerning the distribution of prescription drugs and vaccines, counseling the government pricing team on Medicaid rebate and Medicare average sale price reporting obligations and compliance, and advising on healthcare fraud and abuse issues. She has been in her current role for the last 16 years.
Ms. White attributes her success to her ability to focus, remain flexible, and problem solve. Out of all her accomplishments, she is most proud of the continued success she has had throughout the course of her career. Ms. White was ranked in Martindale-Hubbell’s America’s Most Honored Professionals Top 10% in April 2016.
Ms. White’s goals over the next five years include acquiring a teaching position. She is a member of the American Bar Association, American Bar Foundation, Association of Corporate Counsel (national and Greater Philadelphia Chapter), Corporate Counsel Women of Color, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and Philadelphia Bar Association. Charitable organizations she works with include the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group.
In her free time, Ms. White enjoys yoga, walking, and gardening.
