Graduating in 2011 with her BSN from Seton Hall University, and later in 2017 with her MSN from Rutgers University, Ms. Garrido became involved in her current profession at a young age while bringing her grandmother to the hospital. Inspired by the kindness and interactions between the doctors and nurses, Laura decided to pursue a Nursing degree and career.

Prior Staff Nurse experience includes: Internal Medicine at CarePoint Health, Medical Weight Management at IMMC Health, and Internal Medicine at FQHC Mary Eliza Mahoney Health Center.
As of Fall 2017, Garrido will be a full-time Nurse Practitioner in a Primary Care setting focused on Internal Medicine, seeing to patients in both clinical and nursing home settings. Wanting to utilize her Master’s degree in two different ways, Ms. Garrido will also be educating future nurses at Trinitas School of Nursing.
Citing her professional accomplishments as her continuous expansion of knowledge and compassion, Ms. Garrido has been awarded a Gamma Nu Chapter Academic Scholarship from Sigma Theta Tau International. She is professionally affiliated with the American Nurses Association, and is a Delegate Member of the New Jersey Nurses Union CWA 1091.
After her completion of her MSN with a focus on Adult Gerontology Primary Care NP and obtaining Board Certification, Ms. Carrido’s goals within the next 5 years include practicing, in addition to, expanding her knowledge as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
Ms. Garrido is newly engaged and excited for future events to come. She dedicates charitable time for the New Jersey Nurses Union, and donates locally during the holiday season in her spare time. She also enjoys traveling to major U.S. cities and internationally as well.
